The Evil Dead (1981) | After Dark Series

We're bringing your favorite cult classics to the big screen! Join us each month for our After Dark Series, this new late-night series will showcase a mix of cult favorites, arthouse hits and rarely revisited cinematic gems from the 1960s through the early aughts.

The series continues in October with the 1981 Sami Rami classic THE EVIL DEAD! Your ticket stub will score you happy hour drafts and cocktails at MOMS before or after the show. Tickets are available now at countytheater.org/afterdark

A group of five friends venture out to an isolated cabin, where all hell breaks loose after they come across the Book of the Dead. Shot on a shoestring budget and drawing inspiration from the works of H.P. Lovecraft, THE EVIL DEAD is an intense and terrifying first feature by director Sam Raimi. Receiving a seal of approval from author Stephen King upon release, this film spawned a legacy that has endured over 40 years and launched the careers of Raimi and cult icon Bruce Campbell. Presented in a new restoration.
